In April, on social media, Courtney Clenney, also known as Courtney Tailor, murdered Christian Obumseli, 27.
Clenney, 26, is accused of stabbing Obumseli to death at their Miami, Florida, apartment earlier this year.
According to the Miami Herald, her defence attorney Frank Prieto confirmed she would face a second-degree murder charge in Florida after being extradited.
In her attorney’s view, Clenney was being treated for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder when police picked her up in Hawaii.
We offered to surrender her voluntarily if she was charged, and I’m completely shocked,” Prieto said. “That’s our hope that her name will be cleared in court.”

According to her attorney, she acted in self-defence after Obumseli stalked her for several weeks before attacking her.
According to Prieto, Obumseli was choked by Clenney after he stabbed her after choking her. About two years had passed since they began dating.
