School officials discovered a high school English teacher performing on the pornography website OnlyFans and put her on leave.

After being interviewed by two administrators, Brianna Coppage, 28, was placed on leave on Wednesday at St. Clair High School. While the district investigates, her school email and other software access has been revoked.

Coppage said he’s always had this cloud over his head as if he doesn’t know when he’ll be found. My husband and I heard about it about two weeks ago. It was bound to happen.

Over the summer, Coppage joined the direct-to-subscribers site OnlyFans to supplement her income.

Her salary last year was $42,000, according to the Post-Dispatch public pay database, and she earns another $8,000 to $10,000 on OnlyFans.

The site’s content is only available to subscribers, so Coppage thought it would protect her.

She and her husband have yet to learn who notified the school district about their account, but they recently appeared in a video with two other OnlyFans performers with a big following in St. Louis.

Coppage said the district hasn’t decided yet, but he’s just starting to think I won’t be back. There’s no way I will teach again, but that was the risk I knew I was taking. I’m sad about it. I miss them a lot.

When Coppage graduated from the University of Missouri-St Louis in 2018, she began teaching in Sullivan. She was previously an academic adviser at the Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla. St. Clair High School has about 750 students, and she was teaching there for her second year.

Getting to know students and sharing milestones like driving licenses, passing important tests, and birthdays was the fun part of teaching.

Teachers are supposed to lead students morally, and I don’t disagree with that. I taught the curriculum. I taught reading and writing but didn’t guide them on my beliefs or thoughts. I can’t control what people think.

My only concern is that I do not do anything illegal. I am a good friend and a good family member.

More than 210 million people worldwide subscribe to OnlyFans, a website launched in 2016. Educators, judges, lawyers, police officers, and other professionals have contributed content to the site to make money.

Users pay anywhere from $3 to $75 monthly for subscriptions, with custom and pay-per-view content costing more. A friend from St. Louis who is a content creator on OnlyFans introduced her to it.

Coppage said that her subscription price has more than doubled since the news of her OnlyFans account spread. It’s going to stay up.

They don’t plan to move – her husband doesn’t face disciplinary action from his employer. She knows she will likely attract attention as she goes about her daily routine.

As a member of OnlyFans, I have no regrets. There’s a stigma around sex work, but I don’t think it should be, Coppage said.
