The TIME100 Next list includes Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani and OnlyFans CEO Amrapali Gan

The TIME magazine has named Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani and subscription social platform OnlyFans’ Indian-origin CEO Amrapali Gan to its TIME100 Next list that recognizes ” emerging stars around the world.”

Based on the publication’s flagship TIME100 list of the world’s most powerful people, TIME100 Next honors 100 rising stars worldwide and across industries. What unites these extraordinary efforts to shape our world—and define our future?

In 2022, TIME’s 100 Next lists will feature musicians, doctors, government officials, whistle-blowers, and top CEOs- all curated and informed by TIME’s reporters.

Akash is the son of Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Reliance Industries, and Nita Ambani, the founder of Reliance Foundation. His position as chairman of Jio, India’s largest telecom company with 426 million subscribers, was announced in June.

Despite being the scion of Indian industrialist royalty, Akash Ambani worked hard for success, according to Ambani’s profile in TIME.
Over the past few years, he has helped Google and Facebook land multibillion-dollar investments. If he handles Jio well, he might be given a chance to own a larger share of the family’s conglomerate.

Gan’s profile in TIME said OnlyFans hit rough waters in 2021 when it backed out of a plan to ban sexually explicit content it had become known for.

According to the report, Amrapali Gan, the company’s former chief marketing and communications officer, made a simple decision when she took over as CEO that winter.

The platform’s popularity has continued to grow under Gan’s leadership, as the platform launched a safety and transparency center.

Among the stars on the list are British actress Simone Ashley, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, and 2022 US Open winner Carlos Alcaraz.
