Aitana Is Spain’s First AI model, and She Makes Up to €10,000 a Month

Aitana, a 25-year-old woman from Barcelona with pink hair, gets private texts from famous people asking her to go on dates once a week. It’s not real, though.

Aitana was the first model in Spain to be made by artificial intelligence (AI). She was born during a tough time.

The founder of the agency The Clueless, Rubén Cruz, was having a rough time because he didn’t have many customers.

“When we looked at how we were working, we saw that many projects were being pushed back or canceled because of issues we couldn’t control,” Cruz told Euronews. Most of the time, it was the promoter or model’s fault, not the design’s.

So, they chose to make their influencer so that brands could use them as a model.

Their creation is Aitana, a happy 25-year-old woman from Barcelona with pink hair whose looks are almost perfect.

The people who made the virtual model say she can make up to €10,000 a month, but she makes around €3,000 most of the time.

“We did it so that we could make a better living and not be dependent on other people who have egos, who have manias, or who just want to make a lot of money by posing,” Cruz said.

Different Things Bring In Money For Aitana

She recently became the face of the sports supplement company Big and made just over €1,000 per ad. As if that wasn’t enough, she posts pictures of herself in underwear on Fanvue, a site like OnlyFans.

In just a few months, more than 121,000 people followed her on Instagram, and her pictures received thousands of views and reactions. Sometimes famous people sent her private texts, but they didn’t know she was fake.

“One day, a famous Latin American actor emailed her to ask her to go on a date.” “About 5 million people follow this actor, and some of our team watched his TV show when they were kids,” Cruz said. “He had no idea Aitana didn’t exist,” he said.

How Do You Make an AI Live?

The agency team gets together once a week to plan Aitana’s life. They decide where she will go, what she will do during the week, and what pictures she will post so that her fans can learn more about her.

But there aren’t any picture shoots or wardrobe changes. Instead, thanks to a mix of AI and design experts who use Photoshop, the model can spend the weekend in Madrid, for example.

“After the first month, we learned people are interested in lives, not pictures.” We had to make her a little more accurate so that people could connect to her even though she wasn’t real. The artist says, “We had to tell a story.”

So, Aitana has an evident “personality,” which differs from most models whose personalities are kept secret so they can be a “blank canvas” for designers.

She was made to be an exercise fanatic who is determined and has a complicated personality. She says on her website that she is friendly and loving.

“Aitana has been given a lot of thought.” We made her based on what most people like. Cruz added, “We thought about the tastes, hobbies, and niches that have been popular in the past few years.”

By examining trends, they saw that Asian society had become more European in recent years, so they tried to show this through her pink hair and her love of video games.

Designers have already made a second virtual model called Maia, who is “a little more shy” because Aitana was such a hit.

The names were also not randomly picked; both start with the letters AI, which stands for artificial intelligence.

Getting More People to Use Models?

Brands that want their customized model have been flooding the office with requests.

“They want to have an image that is not a real person and that represents their brand values, so there will be no continuity problems if they have to fire someone or can no longer count on them,” Cruz said.

It also saves money. They were “anomalous” when the firm that used to work with real influencers saw how much they were getting paid.

“Kim Kardashian makes a million euros for an Instagram picture, but she doesn’t cure cancer.” “I don’t see how someone could make a million euros by posting a picture on a social network,” he said.
