Missouri Teacher Resigns from OnlyFans Porn Site to Take a Different Career Path

ST. CLAIR — A high school English teacher who was suspended last month for performing sexual acts on an adult website has resigned.

Brianna Coppage, 28, has resigned from St. Clair High School and is moving forward in a different direction, Superintendent Kyle Kruse said. He said he left “voluntarily.”

Coppage couldn’t be reached after the Dispatch. Several news outlets picked up her story, including those in the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Singapore, and elsewhere.

Coppage, who taught for two years at St. Clair High School, said she joined direct-to-consumer website OnlyFans over the summer to supplement her salary.

More than 210 million people subscribe to OnlyFans, a website that launched in 2016. Teachers, judges, lawyers, police officers, and other professionals have created content for the site to make money.

A monthly subscription costs anywhere from $3 to $75, and some users pay more for custom content.

According to the Post-Dispatch’s public pay database, Coppage made $42,000 last year teaching English to first- and second-year students.

Her previous claims of earning an additional $8,000 to $10,000 per month were made before word of her account spread throughout St. Clair.

Kruse, the Franklin County school superintendent, tried to clear up some misconceptions about how this story unfolded in the rural community about 55 miles southwest of St. Louis.

“Although we were deeply disappointed, we weren’t able to respond in a positive way,” Kruse said.

Instead of discovering Coppage’s online persona independently, district officials learned about it from someone unaffiliated with the district rather than from St. Clair.

Since this is a sensitive matter and the investigation’s integrity is at stake, the district immediately hired legal counsel. For confidentiality, the district was advised to take all possible measures, which it did.

“Nevertheless, third parties let the media know about the situation and it became a community topic,” Kruse said.
